Finis A. Dobson was born 7 Apr 1927 in Green Co. to the late John Dobson and Cattie Walker Dobson. He departed this life on March 11, 2002 at his home in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of 74 years, 11 months and 4 days.

He united in marriage to Frances Lobb Dobson who survives. He is also survived by a son and daughter: Billy Joe Dobson of Greensburg and Roberta Dobson Finn of Louisville; a sister, Mayme McCubbin of Glasgow and 5 grandchildren: Chad Dobson of Greensburg, Christopher Dobson of Mississippi, Troy Finn and Trent Finn of Louisville and Tiffany Richardson of Taylorsville.

Other survivors include 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted 14 mar 2002 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bruington and Rev. Stanley Milby officiating. Burial was in the Wilson Cemetery in Summersville.

Pallbearers were Barry Lobb, James Thomas Milby, J.R. Bishop, Arzo Miller, William Lewis Rattliff and James Ralph Rattliff. Honorary pallbearers were Leon Lobb, Ewan Lobb, David Lobb, Louis Henry, Walter Thomas Lobb and Eddie Franklin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
