Mr. Dobbel was a native of Woodland, CA, and was a resident of Modesto for 3 years. He had previously lived in Patterson for 17 years.
He was a carpenter for 50 years and was last employed at Signature Properties in Pleasanton, CA.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War.
He was a Parishoner of Sacret Heart Catholic Church of Patterson.
He was a member of the Lion's Club and the Knights of Columbus of Patterson.
He enjoyed fishing and dirt bikes.
He is survived by his son, Nick Dobbel and wife, Patricia of Roberts, MT; daughter, Janet Beeler and husband, Dan of Elko, NV; fiance, Dorothy Pierce of Modesto; grandchildren, Sandra and Alex Beeler of Elko, NV; step-children, Deena Souza of Patterson, Clint Pierce of Atwater, Nicholas Pierce of Modesto.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Agnes Dobbel in 1992 and brother, Roger Dobbel.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Rosary/Mass Service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson.
Burial will follow at Dublin Cemetery, 6600 Donlon Way, Dublin, CA.
