Alice Marie (Dixon) Barthol

Alice Marie (Dixon) Barthol, 90, passed away Saturday June 23, 2001 at the Highline Convalescent Center in East Wenatchee.
She was born July 25, 1910 at Wide Hollow in Yakima County to Anna Christina (Sherman) and John Joseph Dixon, Jr. She had two brothers, Harold Sherman Dixon and John Linden Dixon.
Alice Marie graduated from Entiat High School in l929. She was a telephone operator in Entiat for several years and then for the Washington State Apple Commission for over 20 years. She married Raymond Barthol June 20, 1953 at her family home in Entiat. The two lived in Cashmere until 1976 when they moved to East Wenatchee.
Alice Marie was a member of the Eastmont Presbyterian Church, the Forty Niners square dance club and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Barthol of East Wenatchee, her nieces, Dorothy Luce of Bellingham, Shirley Parrot of Everett and Mary Dixon of Cloverdale, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and both brothers.

A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at the Eastmont Presbyterian Church in East Wenatchee with Pastor John Rogers officiating.
Memorials may be made in Alice Marie's name to the Eastmont Presbyterian Youth Fund. Arrangements are in the care of Braun Funeral Home.
