Donald Ross Dixon, 79, of Peoria died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Proctor Hospital.

Born July 5, 1922, in Peoria to Ross J. and Stella A. Crumrine Dixon, he married Luella Marie Tracey on July 21, 1946, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jim (and Kathy) of Dunlap; two daughters, Linda (and Grant) Barton of Morton and Janet (and Tony) Delotis of Peoria; one brother, Jack (and Betty) of Peoria; and one sister, Norma (and Jim) Rockow of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother.

He was a co-owner and partner of Dixon Fisheries Corp., retiring in 1987. He created the Dixon fee fishing lakes during the 1930s and continued with them until 1992.

He was a member of Pheasants Forever.

He was a member of the Glen Oak Christian Church Dartball Team.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
