He was a member of the Masons AF&AM and the Shriners.
He was the widower of Viola (Adamson) Dixon.
He was a World War II Veteran having served in the US Navy.
He is survived by a son and his wife, Clinton A Dixon Jr and Marie of Wethersfield; one daughter, Margaret Burgess of Suriennes, France; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Private services will be held, burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
