Catherine Carradus Dixon, of Charleston, SC, wife of Ralph Arthur Dixon, entered into eternal rest on the morning July 11, 2012.

Born September 12, 1925 in Manhatten, New York, Catherine was a daughter of the late William and Catherine Tracey Carradus.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a retired Executive Secretary with Civil Service.

Catherine was a loving caregiver and will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Ralph Dixon of Charleston; son David A. Dixon and wife Nancy of Charleston; daughter Joan Strickland of Westerly, RI; daughter-in-law Kitty Dixon of Charleston; sister Rose Carradus of Charleston; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph W. Dixon and James E. Dixon.

The family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph A. Dixon are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Wallenberg Boulevard, Charleston, July 13, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
