Mrs. Emogene Allen Dixon, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at home. She was born in Cleveland County on Oct. 18, 1927. She was a retired seamstress who worked for 35 years at Minnette Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Florence Ledford Allen, and a grandson, Lanny Ray Goins. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Frank Dixon of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Daryl and Beth Dixon of Grover, Scott and Ann Dixon of Grover and Paul and Sandy Dixon of Grover, and Mike Dixon of Kings Mountain; three daughters and a son-in-law Kathy and Mike Garcia of Kings Mountain, and Vickie Hamrick and Tracy D. Rippy of Grover; three sisters and brothers-in-law Phylis and David McSwain of Cherryville, Margie and Gene Ware of North Wilkesboro, and Elaine and Don Barrett of Charlotte; two brothers and sisters-in-law, D.C. and Doris Allen of Conover and Bernie and Helen Allen of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Stacy Dixon, Shelli Burgan, Derrin Whisnant, Justin Rippy, Crystal Dixon and Shane Dixon; and four great-grandchildren, Mathew and Chase Burgan and Chelsea and Meagan Whisnant.
