Mr. Dixon served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved deer hunting, fishing, being outdoors, planting trees and flowers. He was an avid collector of horse memorabilia.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ora Dixon.
Surviving are his son, Kenny Dixon of Silver Springs, Md.; two daughters, Betty Green and Phyllis Buckner of Licking; three sisters, Betty Hope of Licking, Norma Lavigne of Pearl River, La., and Helen Rosita of New Haven; two brothers, Laymon and Junior Dixon of Licking; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were Oct. 14 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Light officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery.
