KINGS MOUNTAIN - Clarence Eugene "Gene" Dixon, 76, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
Mr. Dixon was born in Cleveland County. He was the son of Ira and Mattie Blackburn Dixon.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
He was also a member Fairview Masonic Lodge, Kings Mountain, Oasis and White Plains Shrine Club and Scottish Rites, Charlotte.
He retired from the United States Air Force serving during Vietnam.
He also retired from Eaton Corp. in Kings Mountain.
In addition to his parents, brothers, Frank Dixon and Marion Dixon preceded him in death.
