Jack was born Aug. 11, 1916, in New Orleans, La., to John and Lottie Dixon. He graduated from Tulane University in 1938 with a degree in chemical engineering. He was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 37 years. Intensely involved in his Masonic work, he loved his brother Masons and was a past master of Tabernacle Lodge #1195 in southwest Fort Worth.
Survivors: Wife, Dorothy; sons, Jeff and wife, Debbie, Derek and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Rachel, Jonathan, Rebecca Freeman and husband, Zeb; and five great-grandchildren.
