Spelled "Dickson" in the NC Troop Books which indicate:
"Born in Rutherford or Cleveland County and resided in Cleveland County where he was by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting in Cleveland County at age 22, November 21, 1861. Died at home in Cleveland County on April 8, 1862, of disease."
A marker in this churchyard indicates Thomas E. Dixon was actually buried at Zion Baptist Church which is also in Cleveland County.
