Private graveside funeral for Georgia Lee Dinsmore, 83, of Decatur was to be today at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Brock and Rev. Kenneth Dunivant officiating and Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Dinsmore died Wednesday at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Georgia Lee Thompson on Oct. 3, 1910, in Athens, Tenn.
She was a retired school teacher from Decatur city schools and Gordon-Bibb Elementary School, and a member of First United Methodist Church, serving with the church choir and as a Sunday school teacher. She also was involved in civic activities.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Dinsmore Sr; one son, Marvin Dinsmore Jr of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Women Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church.
