Mrs. Dinsmore Succumbs at 64
Mrs. Dorothy L Dinsmore, 64, of 90 Harrison Ave., wife of Donald Newcomb Dinsmore, died today at Franklin County Public Hospital after along illness. Mrs. Dinsmore had been a teacher and had once taught in the Greenfield school system.
She was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., on July 15,1900, the daughter of Rev. John J. and Elizabeth (Campbell) Lockett. In 1917 she moved to Greenfield and has made her home since. She married on Aug. 15, 1921, to Dinsmore in Southboro by her father, Mr. Lockett, a Congregational minister.
Mrs. Dinsmore had also taught school in Turners Falls and Southboro. She was a member of First Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a sister, Mrs. Edith M. Hosmer of West Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Hume and Mrs. Jean Williams; a son, James; all of Greenfield; four grandsons; three granddaughters, a niece and a nephew.
Funeral services from Hodgen Memorial Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. will be preceded by an organ prelude at 1:45 by Mrs. Dorothea F. Derry. Rev. James R. Duncan of First Methodist Church will be in Federal Street Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hodgen Funeral Home.
