Dechant, Julitta (Dinkel), 94, Wichita, KS, died June 9, 2009.She was born October 18, 1914, in Victoria, KS.She was a Homemaker. She married Pete Dechant in 1941. They lived on a farm in Plainville, KS then moved to Salina, KS in 1962. She moved to the Catholic Care Center Assisted Living in Wichita, KS in February 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank M. Dinkel and Rosa (Hertel) Dinkel; husband Peter Dechant; three brothers, Hilarius Dinkel, Clarence Dinkel and Edward Dinkel and a sister Bertha Prewo.include five children; Marvin F. Dechant and wife Joan of Olathe, KS, Marietta Mason of Wichita, KS, Ronald G. Dechant and wife Grace of Scotia, NY, Eldon M. Dechant of Salina, KS, and Leon R. Dechant and wife Jana of Fort Worth, TX; eight sisters, Regina Dechant of Hays, Sister Francis Rose Dinkel of Hays, Irene Scruggs of Manhattan, Melinda Griebel of Hays, Mary Younker of Hays, Viola Richmeier of Grinnell, Sister Paul Ann Dinkel of Hays and Rita Rohr of Wichita; two brothers George Dinkel of Victoria and Father Harvey Dinkel, OFM CAP, of Victoria; eight grandchildren, Brena Armbrust, Bonnie Dechant, DVM, Todd Mason, Laure Kendall, Jessa Dechant, John Dechant, Michael Dechant, Robert Dechant and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. following visitation. The funeral will be Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. atMary's Catholic Church, 230 East Cloud, Salina, KS. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina, KS. Memorials may be made to OCCK, 1710 W. Schilling, Salina 67401. Roselawn Mortuary, 1307 S. Santa Fe, Salina, is handling arrangements.
