His birth record shows he was born with the name Hyman Dine. His WW I Draft Registration Card (1917-1918) lists his name as Herman Joseph Dine, so he changed his name as some point. He died during WW I in a pilot training facility called Carlstrom Field in Florida. He is listed as a 2nd Lieut.

At first, I thought the marker at the base of his father's grave marker was a cenotaph, but now I'm wondering if he was buried there. If not, he was buried in a National cemetery.
