James J. Dinco, 79, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Kenosha, Wis., the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Mazero) Dinco. He was retired from the Kennametal Co., of Latrobe, with more than 40 years of service. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the New Derry Hunting Club and the Kingston Sportsmen's Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Dinco; a sister, Jean Homme; and a stepbrother, Roger Greely.
Military services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with honors accorded by American Legion Post #515 and VFW Post #3414. The St. John's Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry... Interment will be in St. Martin's Cemetery.
