GEORGIA LUCILLE AKERS, 80 of Bastian, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 7th from Carrington Place, Wytheville, VA. She was born January 29, 1934 in Bland County, VA the daughter of the late Gleaves and Clara Hounshell Dillow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) F. Akers and a son, Tommy Perkey.
She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Faye Dillow, Bastian; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Bob McLemore, Bastian; Aileen and John Havens, Bastian; Weier and Bobby Hamm, Ceres; two granddaughters and husbands, Lisa and Brian Stone, Talbott, TN; Teresa and Michael Mitchell, Morristown, TN; several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Visitation - Thursday, April 10th from 12:00 noon until service time of 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home
Funeral Services - Thursday, April 10th at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Looney officiating.
Burial - Grandview Memorial Gardens, Bluefield
