Mary Rose Dillinger of Coatesville, Pa
Mary Rose (Gibbons) Dillinger, 88, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at her West Caln residence surrounded by the ones she loved. She was the beloved wife of Gilbert C. Dillinger, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Anthony P. and Mary Saunders Gibbons. She was a graduate of St. Paul's Cathedral High School in Pittsburgh. Mary was employed by Bell of Pennsylvania and AT&T as a research associate. She resigned from her position to become a full time mother and homemaker. In later years, she returned to the work force, finally resigning as an underwriter for the National Liberty Insurance Co. In addition to her husband, Gil, Mary Rose is survived by her son, Charles and his wife, Jamie Dillinger of Exton; and daughters, Carol Ann Dillinger of Downingtown, and Christine and husband, Rev. Dr. Steven B. Shuster of Sicklerville, N.J.; her grandchildren, Jason and Kelly Dillinger, and Joshua, Amanda and Victoria Shuster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9th, at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be private.
