Obituary: "Edwin C. Diller, 84 years of age, a prominent retired business man of New Holland, died at his home 221 West Main street this morning at 4:30 o'clock from a complication of diseases after an illness of several days. He had been in failing health for the past year. He was born in Uniontown, November 26th, 1839. He had been a resident of New Holland since two years of age. He was educated in the public schools of the town, and the Lititz Academy. He was twice married. His first wife who was Miss Cora Mason, White Horse, who died in 1874. He was later married to Miss Anna M. Roland of New Holland. The following children survive: Alta and Charles M., New Holland. He had been in the store business for 62 years, and retired three years ago. He was a member and trustee of the Trinity Lutheran Church of New Holland. He was a member of the following organizations: F. and A. M. Lodge, Lancaster No. 43; Royal Arch Chapter; Goodwin council, No. 19, Lancaster; Knight Templars No. 13; Lancaster Lodge of Protection, I. O. O. F. No. 413, New Holland and a trustee at the time of his death. He was a member of the Jury Commission of Lancaster and a member of the Road Viewing Board. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with services in Trinity Lutheran church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery."
