MRS. ADAMS DIES IN HOSPITAL
Sadness spread over the Onycha community Monday when news came that Mrs. Clifton Adams had passed away at an early hour in the Lakeview Hospital at Florala.
Mrs. Adams had been ill for about five weeks but her condition was not thought serious until two weeks ago. She was rushed to the hospital and it was learned that there was no hope for her recovery.
Mrs. Adams was a woman of Christian character and loved by all whose privilege it was to know her. She was thirty-eight years of age and had been married seventeen years. She had always proved to be a faithful, devoted wife and loving mother to her children. She will be missed in the community in which she lived by her many friends whom she was always helped in time of need.
The funeral was held at Bethel church and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery there Monday afternoon with Rev. G.H. Shear officiating.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Clifton Adams and seven children, three children having died in infancy, also three brothers, Andrew and Jim Dillard of Opp and Major Dillard of Lockhart; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Hendricks of Munson, Fla., and a sister in Texas.
