Florence M. Dikeman, age 102, of Abingdon, IL formerly of Yates City, IL, died at 8:28 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 1994, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
Born May 18, 1892, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, to Wilson and Lilly Musk Wertz, she married Walter Van Dikeman on October 21, 1914. He died June 30, 1972.
Two daughters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Wilson and Harold, both of Yates City; one daughter, Nelda Goodwin of Galesburg; one sister, Gladys Willet, of Galesburg; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great
grandchildren.
She had lived in Yates City from 1946 until 1982, when she moved to Abingdon.
She was a member of Yates City United Presbyterian Church.
