Almeda E. Dietz, 95, McLean, formerly of Bloomington, died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday (July 22, 2008) at Asta Care Center, Bloomington.
She was born April 19, 1913, in Sparks, Okla., the daughter of Samuel Sheridan and Lena Belle Woosley Durst. She married John E. Dietz and they were later divorced.
She is survived by four children, Patricia Webb, Perryville, Mo.; John (Lois) Dietz Jr., Portland, Ind.; Beverly (Sam) Lane, McLean; and Sharon (Larry) Kauble, Cisne; a very special and dear friend, Juanita Hummer, Bloomington; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Almeda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one daughter, Peggy Hiatt.
She worked as a housekeeper until she retired in 1975. She was a member of Bloomington Bible Church.
Almeda enjoyed reading, crocheting and doing puzzles.
