Alvin Dieterich Dies; Lifelong Area Resident

Funeral services were held June 13, [1957] at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage and St. John's Lutheran church for Alvin Dieterich, who died June 10 [1957] at the age of 57. Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery.

Alvin H. Dieterich was born in Floyd county, Iowa, on September 25, 1899, the son of Fred and Anna [nee Hartwig] Dieterich. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church [Cedar township] and was later confirmed there.

Mr. Dieterich married Elsie Hollatz on June 3, 1925. The couple had two children, Bernice and Dorothy.

Mr. Dieterich was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran church.

Surviving him are his wife and daughters; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Troge, Mrs. Ralph Brandau, Mrs. John Morische and Adele Dieterich, all of the St. John's area, two brothers, Herman Dieterich of the St. John's community and George Dieterich of St. Ansgar, and two grandchildren.

Rudd Funeral services are pending for Alvin Dieterichs, 57, Rudd, who died Monday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital from a blood disease. He had been hospitalized earlier at Rochester, Minn.

Rites will be held at St. Johns Lutheran church near Osage with the Champion Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Mr. Dieterichs was born in September 1899, to Fred and Anna Dieterichs near Rudd where he has lived all his life.

Survivors include his wife, the former Elsie Hollatz; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Troge and mrs. Loren (Bernice) Muller, both of Osage; two grandchildren; two brothers; Herman, Rudd; and George, st. Ansgar; and four sisters; Mrs. Henry Troge, Osage; Mrs. John Morische; Mrs. Ralph Brandau; and Miss Delia Dieterichs, all of Rudd.
