He is found in all applicable census records living with his parents and later in their home for years after their deaths. (I do not find him in 1940, but he is at the family home in 1942 as per his WWII draft registration record, 14 years after the death of his father.) He apparently never married but lived with a sister, Frances C. Dieter, who also seems not to have married. His occupation is listed in successive censuses as office clerk (1910), bookkeeper (1920), and accountant (1930). He is surely the Henry J. Dieter listed as the owner of the burial plots in this cemetery for his parents, Annie V Baker and Frederick O. Dieter, siblings Fances C. and Frederick A. Dieter, and Harry J. Dieter (surely himself).
