She was born July 25, 1927, in Peoria to Warren and Rose (LaRau) Diefendorf. She married Erle Crump Jr. on July 31, 1945, in Peoria. He died in 1988 in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Diefendorf; father, Warren and his wife, Bertie Diefendorf; one daughter, Carol; and one granddaughter, Tina.
Surviving are her children, Robert (Candy) Crump, Russell Crump and Charlie Crump, all of Peoria, and Sue (Bob) Shelabarger of Bartonville; brothers and sisters, Ethel Brandt and John Allison, both of Peoria, Karl (Cathy) Ensor of Farmington, Kenny (Annie) Ensor of Chillicothe, Kalvin (Marty) Ensor of Creve Coeur, Carol (Bill) Adams of Creve Coeur, Barbara Serpette of Washington, Edward Diefendorf of Creve Coeur, Daniel (Marcia) Diefendorf of Peoria Heights and Linda (Jerry) Kindred of Peoria; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pearl served as an electoral judge in Peoria County for many years.
She was a homemaker and an avid Cubs fan.
She was a member of United Disciples Christian Church.
Cremation will be accorded. Burial of her ashes will be in White Oaks Cemetery in Carlock, Ill., at a later date.
