Nick R. Didier, 60, of rural Port Washington, a prominent Ozaukee County farmer, auctioneer and realtor, died early today in St. Alphonsus Hospital, Port Washington after a long illness.
Mr. Didier, in the real estate field since 1946, was past-president of the Wisconsin Realtors Association and a director emeritus of First National Bank in Port Washington.
He was also a member of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
A native of Port Washington, he was born April 10, 1914, a son of the late John P. and Anna Burmesch Didier.
His marriage to Betty Heintskill took place in Milwaukee, Aug. 26, 1944.
Survivors include his widow, three sons, Peter, Nick Jr., and William, all of Port; two grandsons; a brother, Thomas and two sisters, Mrs. Olive Torke and Mrs. Ray Watry, all of Belgium.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Port Washington, with the Rev. Stanley Klauck, pastor, celebrant. Family rites will be at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home at 5 p.m. Thursday.
A memorial fund in Mr. Didier's name will be established for St. Peter's parish.
