Bessie Didier, 93, of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Fort Smith.
She was born premature April 26, 1920 in Vian, OK to Walter and Sadie Reed.

She was extremely proud of her Cherokee Heritage.
Bessie was a perfectionist by nature. She was proud of her career as an Office Administrator for a Colonel at Fort Chaffee where she received several awards for her work. She was a Baptist.

She had many hobbies. Art was just one for her creative abilities. Oils were her favorites. She loved sewing formals for her daughter, dresses for her granddaughter and planting flowers in her garden. She loved her flowers. She was an excellent homemaker. The family always looked forward to her amazing dinners and deserts.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 14, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Steep Hill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Henry D. Didier and one grandson Michael McLane.

She is survived by one daughter Gayle Ann Van Kleeck and husband George K. Van Kleeck of Fort Smith, AR, three grandchildren Robert McLane, William McLane and Melissa Mirsaeidi, one brother Joe Reed and wife Wilma of Little Rock, AR, eight great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be William McLane, Russell McLane, Kirby McLane, Navid Mirsaeidi, Donnie Didier, Majid Mirsaeidi.
