Dorothy A. Carroll 70, of Bartlesville died 11:25 p.m. Friday at her residence. There will be a Scripture Service 7:00 p.m. Monday in the Walker-Brown Chapel and Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Community of Saint James with Father Mike Cashen, Father Bill Skeehan, and Father Robert Pickett officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Mrs. Carroll in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born April 14, 1935 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Bernard and Bessie (Clelland) Dickman. She married John J. Carroll May 4, 1957 in McAlester, Oklahoma.
Dorothy graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an Associates degree and was a devoted Sooners fan. She volunteered her time in her Church and her community, especially at the Mary Martha Outreach Mission. Dorothy was a founding member of the Community of the Community of Saint James and was actively involved in many of the Church ministries. Her greatest joys in life were giving time to her family and friends and sharing her life with her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Colleen and her husband Jeff Martin of Dallas, TX., and Debra Carroll of Midland, TX., one son, John P. and his wife Annette Carroll of Geneva, IL., five grandchildren, Laura, Kathryn, Jessie, Crawford, and Mackenzie, two sisters, Betty Herbeck of Dallas, TX., and Peggy Lux of Wichita, KS.
