James Dickinson the husand of Willistine Dew Dickinson(deceased in 2003).The father of Elaine,Keith, Willis And Larry(deceased in 1980).
Mr. Dickinson was a farmer and I help work in tobacco when he and his wife Willistine were farming.
He is interred beside Mrs. WIllistine DIckinson, and Larry Dickinson(son) grave is nearby.As of September 19,2005 I am editing and adding the obituaty that was in the News and Observer newspaper:
James Exum Dickinson, Jr., age 84, died Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at IHS of Nash in Rocky Mount.A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens by Rev. Pete Radford.He is survived by his wife, Willistine D. Dickinson of the home; daughter, Elaine D. Jones of Stanhope; sons, Willis Ray Dickinson and Keith Dickinson, both of Stanhope; sister, Annie Gay Bass of Momeyer; seven grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren.The family will receive friends at Spring Hope Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. and other times at the home.
