RIDGECREST, CALIF. — Julia Kathleen Dickens, 88, of Ridgecrest, Calif., a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, in Ridgecrest.

She was born Jan. 30, 1917, in Grayson County to E.
E. [Emery Edgar] and Eathel (Ashley) Hatridge. On June 25, 1939, she married Thomas Alton Dickens in Sanger. He died Dec. 7, 2002.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Arlington.

A graveside service will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Sanger Cemetery. Dr. E.L. McNeal will officiate.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda K. Smith of Ridgecrest, Calif.; her son, Billy C. Dickens of Seagoville; two sisters, Doris Murdock and Marie Mason, both of Denton; one brother, Kenneth Hatridge of Denton; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
