Kathleen Lorraine Dickman, 90, lifelong area resident, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan.
Kathleen was born December 26, 1921 in Thedford, Nebraska, to Gerald and Wilma (Harris) Jochum. She married Herman "Dick" Dickman on September 25, 1943 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Kathleen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. She was also Past Worthy Matron and Past Grand Soloist of Eastern Star, Past President of Friday Club, Past President of the Lady's Matinee Musical Club, Past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club, and Past President of both the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. For a time she was on the NE Colorado, Front Range, and Colorado Emergency Management teams, and was a founding member and secretary of the Morgan County Sheriff's Posse. She was Assistant Commander of the local Civil Air Patrol and past president of the Ft. Morgan Beautification Association. In addition she was a member of the NE Colorado and the Colorado Peace Officers Associations. At one time she and her husband delivered prisoners around the state for the sheriff's office. She loved music and sang in church choirs in Nebraska, Brush and Ft. Morgan, and at Crown Hill in Denver. Kathleen and her husband at one time delivered cars for John Clatworthy's automobile dealership.

Survivors include two daughters, Renee Stroh of Ft. Morgan and Sharon Kay Velder of Ft. Morgan; six grandchildren, Shaun Dunn, Dawn Cristi Schwenke, Richard Stroh and Ryan Stroh, all of Ft. Morgan, Denise Price of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Jennifer Johnson of Thornton, Colorado; 15 great-grandchildren; and her cousin, Rex Black of Denver.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman, and her sister, Geraldine Jochum.

Memorial services will be Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens.
