Harold Newell Dick, 47, Cincinnati, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 30, at the Brown V.A. Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, after an illness of two weeks.

He was born at Nancy, August 11, 1922*. His mother, Alma Vaughn Dick, survives. His father, Carl Dick, preceded him in death. He was married to the former Mary Dykes of Nancy, who also survives.

He was a factory worker and had lived in Ohio for 20 years. He was a member of the Chesterview Baptist Church at Nancy, and of the American Legion.

Other survivors include four children, Francis Dick, Carol Dick, Wilma Jean Dick, and Sherman Newell Dick, all of Somerset, five brothers, Velber Dick and Lowell Dick, both of Cincinnati, Wilbur Dick, Dayton, Robert Dick, Foster, Ohio, and Herman Dick, Hamilton, Ohio, three sisters, Verdena Rainwater, Rantoul, Ill., Merlene Kobage, Ashland, and Faustine Rogers, Cincinnati.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Chesterview Baptist Church with Rev. Harlan J. Avera and Rev. Doyle Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Somerset Undertaking Company in charge of arrangements.
