Betty J. Dice, 84, of Saltsburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in Excela Health Latrobe Regional Hospital, Latrobe. Betty was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Saltsburg, to the late Raymond and Ruth (Sproull) Johns. She was a graduate of Saltsburg High School and lived in Saltsburg most of her life where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Saltsburg United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary of the Saltsburg Fire Department and was a social member of the Saltsburg American Legion. Betty was known to always lend a helping hand when it came to volunteering. She would volunteer for any organization whether it was fundraising, blood drives or being a band mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Dice, in 2006; brother, Kenneth Johns; and great-grandson, Kenneth R. Dice III, in 2008. Betty is survived by her three sons, Robert W. Dice, John A. (Darla Ann) Dice and Kenneth R. (Cynthia) Dice, all of Saltsburg; two daughters, Arlene (Mark) Corridoni and Darlene (James) Shirley, all of Saltsburg; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John F. Dice, of Wakeeney, Kan.; and 11 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in the CURRAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, in the funeral home with Pastor Denny Marshall officiating. Private burial in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to Saltsburg Volunteer Fire Department, 313 Salts St., Saltsburg, PA 15681 or the Saltsburg United Methodist Church, 813 Salt St., Saltsburg, PA 15681.
