Mrs. Dorothea "Dot" Anderson Dial was born on March 28, 1931, in Greenville, to the late Clarence and Malinda Echols Anderson. She was one of eleven children.

She departed this life July 3, 2004, at St. Francis Women's Hospital.

Rejoined with her parents and siblings, Leroy, William, Rosetta and Betty Lou.

She attended the Greenville County schools, and was a member of Mt. Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was employed with William R. Timmons Jr. and Family for 40 years, until she retired in the year of 1999. She will be lovingly remembered by, and cherished, in the hearts of her husband, Joseph Lawrence Dial Sr.; a daughter, Linda Dial Mosley; and a son, Joseph Lawrence Dial Jr., all of Greenville.
