Julianna Dexheimer was born in Peterstal, Bessarabia, Odessa, South Russia. There she married Henry Becker (1807-1866), also of the Odessa Region of South Russia. They were the parents of 10 children - Catherina Elisabetha, Margaretha, Christian, Elizabeth Margaretha, Jakob Wilhelm, Johann Philipp, Heinrich (Henry), Christina, Julius and August.

Juliana along with her youngest son August and daughter-in-law Elesabeth Koepplin immigrated to the United States via the port of Hamburg, Germany where they departed from on Oct 30, 1884 on the SS 'Moravia' (Steerage Class), arriving at the port of New York on Nov 14, 1884. They then travelled to North Dakota where they established a new homesteaded near Streeter, North Dakota.
According to family history, Julianna is buried in the Hope Evangelical Church Cemetery on the "Flats" south of Streeter. It appears from recent survey of the cemetery that there is no headstone for her , but there is one for her oldest son Christian.
