Addie Emerett Devitt was born November 4, 1902 at Stockham, Nebraska, the daughter of James and Edna Caldwell.

In 1921 she was married to Clarence Iliff. To this union were born one son, Donald, and two daughters, Genese and Wanda. Mr. Iliff passed away in 1930.

On April 12, 1934, Addie was married to Marion Devitt at Mankato, Kansas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She has lived at Angus, Nebraska, the past 37 years. Prior to that she lived in the Edgar vicinity.

Mrs. Devitt was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Wanda. She is survived by a son, Donald Iliff of Superior, Nebraska; a daughter, Genese Ferebee of Red Cloud, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren and 1 sister, Mrs. Myrtle Stierwalt of Nelson and also nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 23, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. in the Klawitter Funeral Chapel, Nelson, Nebraska. Reverand Victor Schwarz of the First Christian Church officiated.

Casket bearers were Ward Stansbury, Carl Comstock, Ivan King, Roy Burkett, Wayne Wroughton and Kenneth Grossman.

Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Nebraska. Klawitter Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
