ENID — Funeral for Bessie Idel Devine, 96, will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Waynoka Church of God. The Rev. David Shaw will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Hill Cemetery under direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka LLC.

Bessie Idel Devine, daughter of Percy Allen "Kit" and Floy Melissa (Hinderliter) Carson, was born March 8, 1916, on the family farm near Avard, Oklahoma, and passed away April 20, 2012, at Alva, Oklahoma,

Bessie attended Missouri Valley School and graduated from eighth grade in 1930. On September 2, 1939, she was united in marriage to Glenn W. Devine.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; one son, Gary Lee Devine; and one brother, Wayne Carson.

Bessie is survived by her son, Max Devine, and wife, Von, of Waynoka; one brother, Kenneth Carson, of Clovis, New Mexico; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
