Mary T. (Devine) Averill, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010. Born in Boston, Mrs. Averill grew up in South Boston, graduated from Nazareth High School, and lived in Milton for the past 45 years. A caring and supportive wife and mother, she was a former employee of Stop and Shop Co., Quincy and Northeastern University and a former member of the Irish American Club. The beloved wife of Warren F. Averill of Milton; she is also survived by her devoted children; Mark F. Averill and his wife Mary V. of VA, Diane M. Cempellin and her husband Peter L., of Dover, Gerard W. Averill of CA and Lynn Ann Averill and her husband Peter M. Gravallese of Milton; her loving grandchildren Sean, Nicole and Colin Averill, Laura and Andrew Cempellin and Grant, Ian and Max Gravallese; her brother Paul Devine and his wife Donna of Milton and her sisters-in-law Mildred, Rita and Mary Devine. She was the sister of the late John Bud, Thomas and Robert Devine. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Monday at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. Interment in Milton Cemetery.
