Mrs. Mary Andrews, widow of Thomas Andrews, died at 11:30 Saturday morning at her home over 114 East Prairie street. Her death was caused by a complication of kidney and heart disease. She had been in poor health for some time and had been bed fast since a week ago Friday.
Her maiden name was Devine. She was born at Waterloo, Seneca county, N.Y. but had lived in Decatur for over forty years. She was widely known and had many friends. She was married to the late Thomas Andrews at Taylorville in 1871. His death occurred in November 1896.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ellen Devine, who is almost ninety years old. She also leaves one sister, Miss Nellie Devine, and two brothers, John and George Devine. All hr relatives were with her at the time of her death.
Mrs. Andrews was of a kind and lovable disposition and was devoted to her aged mother and her sister. She was much given to clarity and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.
The funeral will probably be held Monday morning.
