Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today in St. Landry Roman Catholic Church in Opelousas for Adam Cleveland DeVillier, 90, who died Sunday morning in Opelousas General Hospital. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. DeVillier was a member of Post No. 3409 of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge No.1048 of Opelousas. He was a retired farmer from the Port Barre area.

He is survived by seven sons: Lincoln DeVillier of Carrollton, Ga., John DeVillier of Torrance, Calif., J.C. DeVillier of Castro Valley, Calif., Floyd DeVillier of Kenner, Sherman DeVillier of San Bernardino, Calif., Dr. Billy DeVillier of Covington and James Richard of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Berchman (Rebecca Jane) Sylvester of Opelousas, Mrs. Myrtle Daspit of Abbeville, Mrs. Mylas (Anna Lee) Vidrine of Kenner, Mrs. Leroy (Beryl) Fontenot of Opelousas. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
