Arnold M. Detty, 72, of Kingston, passed away 5:30 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home.
He was born April 27, 1942 in Chillicothe, to the late George A. and Julia A. Willet Detty.
On June 1, 1963, he married the former Celia C. Lowery who survives; also surviving are children, Robin (Daniel) Mendenhall, of Kingston and Tim (Nancy) Detty, of Kingston; grandchildren, Nick Detty, Melissa (Ryan) Cade, Brian (Leah) Mendenhall, Lylah Mendenhall and Karington Mendenhall; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence (Heidi) of Missouri; sisters, Mary (Ray) Harvey, of Missouri and Anita Seymour, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Daniels and a brother, Larry Detty.Arnold retired from Thomson-Consumer Electronics and was an active farmer.
A graveside service, with Pastor Carl Bode officiating, was held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangement are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
