Remington Press Fri., 1 Jan 1971, pg. 1, col.2 Mrs. Lillie Mae Detrick, 81, Remington, Dies Mrs. Lillie Mae Detrick, 81, of Remington died at Jasper county hospital, Rensselaer, at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, after being admitted earlier in the day. She was born in Benton county near Swanington on August 11, 1889, a daughter of James and Matilda (Sanders) Watson. She was married to John Detrick on Dec. 6, 1909, near Remington. He died in 1968. She lived in the Kentland area for 15 years and 36 years in Chicago. They moved to Remington in 1963. She was a member of the United Methodist church of Remington. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Orpha Hartley of Oakland, Calif. and Mrs. Elnora Sims of Clovis, Calif.; two sons, Orza I. and Virgil C., both of Oak Forest Ill.; 11 grandchidlren; 17 great-grandchildren; on sister, Mrs. Ross McCoskey of Huntington, Ind.; and one brother, Cecil Watson of Convene, Indiana. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stitz funeral home, Remington, with Rev. Milton Persons officiating.
