Kathryn M. "Sis" Detrick, 88, Duncansville, died Tuesday morning at home. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Samuel C. and Pearl J. (McIntire) Snoberger. She married Thomas F. Detrick Nov. 26, 1941, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death April 9, 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Marcella E. and husband, Eugene Biddle, of Duncansville; two grandchildren: Melinda Thomas of Hollidaysburg and Melanie Sheaff in Virginia; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah R. Thomas Nov. 7, 1998. Sis was a 1938 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the Good Luck Club and past treasurer of the Duncansville Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing word-search puzzles and she read her Bible daily. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiated by the Rev. Jaime G. Olson. Interment at Alto Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona. Memorial contributions may be made to the Duncansville Lutheran Church, 1200 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, PA 16635, or AseraCare-Hospice, 1025 Logan Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
