Alma, 90, of Cedar Rapids,Ia was born in Jefferson Twp in Johnson County,Ia, daughter of Theodore and Mary(Stransky)Detert.She attended school at Vorel No. 6. She married Milo Benesh on Feb 7,1933. They farmed until Milos death on Jul 18,1995. She enjoyed gardening, baking kolaches, cooking, traveling, hosting family get togethers, helping on the farm and attending family sporting events. Alma is survived by her son James(Esther)Benesh of Cedar Rapids, daughters, Marilyn(Vernon)Ziskovsky of Swisher and Iona(Elmer)Vanorny of Solon, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a sister, Elizabeth Becicka of Cedar Rapids and several nieces and nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Jormill, Lewis, Milo and Lumir and a sister Tillie Kadera. . Services were held at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with Rev Tom Carver presiding.
