WARREN -- Leatha E. Cox, 96, United Methodist Memorial Home, died at 2 p.m. Friday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born in Washington Township, Grant County, to the late Oliver and Nora (Martin) Detamore. She attended Washington Township school. In 1923, she married Clyde E. Cox. He died in 1985.
Mrs. Cox was a homemaker. She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, Marion, and the Day Circle of the Morris Chapel United Methodist Women. She had been a resident of Warren for one year.
Surviving are two sons, Earl (Marguerite), Marion, and Chester (Sue), Leesburg; a daughter-in-law, Cyndy Cox Morse, Sebastian, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Delene Pence, Marion, and Edith Detatmore, Orange Park, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Melvin, Ernest and Carl.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, 1728 E 450N, Marion, with the Rev. Damon Hayward officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery, Marion.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Van Buren, and from 10 a.m. until services Tuesday at the church.
