Irene M. Desrosiers, 101, of 188 McKee Street, Manchester, the wife of 63 years of the late Joseph Wilfred Desrosiers, died on Friday (January 30, 2009) at her home.


Born in Fall River, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Roseanna (Bouchard) Lord, she had lived in Manchester for over 70 years.


Irene formerly worked at Cheney Brothers and the G. Fox Company and was a former member of the Ladies Guild at the Church of the Assumption and the French Club.


She is survived by her daugthers, Claire H. Desrosiers of Manchester, with whom she made her home, and Jeanne D. Kittredge and her husband, David of Vernon; her grandchildren and their spouses, David and Elaine Kittredge, Kathleen and Tim Vinciullo, Stephen and Ann Kittredge, James and Marykay Kittredge, Teresa and Todd Bendtsen, and Charles and Sue Kittredge; her great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jermey, Vallerie, Tracey, Brian, Laurie, Stephanie, Christopher, Nicholas, Shane, Jack, Jonathan and Ryan, and several nieces and nephews. Irene was also predeceased by her infant daughter, Pauline, and her sisters, Alice Gagnon, and Blanche Larchevesque.


Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 10:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. the Church of the Assumption, Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
