VENICE, Utah--Elsie LaVee Despain Buchanan, 80, of Venice, Utah, died April 4, 1995 in Richfield, Utah.
She was born May 3, 1914, in Venice, Utah to James L. and Elsie Olsen Despain. LaVee married L.
LaVere Buchanan, June 8, 1948, in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death, August 20, 1964. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she enjoyed her callings in the Relief Society and quilting.
She is survived by one daughter, two sons, and their spouses, Connie Jean and Dave Rave, Amerdean, South Dakota; Ronald L. and Peggy Buchanan, Silver Springs, Maryland; Thomas N. and Carol Buchanan, Shelly, Idaho; one brother, three sisters, LaVar Despain, Richfield, Utah; Dean Buchanan, Venice, Utah; Ila Mae Peterson, Rulla Cowley, both Richfield, Utah; preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Owen Despain and Leo Despain, one sister, Della Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Venice LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah, Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Venice Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Venice Cemetery.
