Col. Desobry was the son of Edward Desobry and Mary Robertson. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1908. During his Army career he served in Vera Cruz, Mexico, and the Phillipine Islands. Following graduation from the War College in Washington, D. C., he was assigned to the 8th Service Command in Dallas. He retired in 1945.
