ELAINE M. DERRICK BURROW
November 27, 1932 ~ February 21, 2012
"Elaine was a wife, a mother, and an astute
businesswoman who rarely did things half way."
Elaine M. Derrick Burrow passed away at her home in Vancouver, Washington on February 21, 2012 with her daughter and friends by her side.
She passed away with a thousand stories to tell, unfortunately never actually writing them down as she planned-this is a loss to us all...
Elaine could dazzle a room dressed like a movie star, out shoot most men, ride a horse like a cowboy, charm a room in seconds.
She was comfortable dressed in diamonds and furs or flannels and jeans, but was never-ever-was without her favorite lipstick, Cherries in the Snow.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Michelle Garbutt; grandchildren, Nicole Kohler and Katherine Garbutt; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Mason Kohler; and sister, Patricia "Patty" Lee Hyde.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha (Lind) and Lester Derrick; son, Randy Burrow; and six siblings, Helen, Lucille, Mina, Bessie, Bud and Betty.
A Celebration of Life was held in Vancouver, Washington at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
A graveside service was held in Ontario, Oregon at Evergreen Cemetery, Friday, March 2, 2012.
