Oscar Memory Dermid was the son of John Oscar Dermid and Frances Vance Justus. He was a brick-layer who lived his entire life in North Carolina. He married Minnie Loucilla Jennings after 1930 but this marriage ended in divorce. No children from this union are known to me. He then married Meta Allen Walker.
